2025 Annual Report
ASLM is pleased to officially present its 2025 Annual Report.
Lifestyle-based mental health care for major depressive disorder
In collaboration with Deakin University’s Food & Mood Centre, ASLM have worked to develop clinical practice guidelines to provide clinicians with up-to-date, evidence-based information on the management of major depressive disorder (MDD) using lifestyle-based approaches. Accompanying these guidelines, we have also developed consumer resources to help those living with MDD understand the latest evidence into lifestyle-based care for MDD.
Our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan outlines how ASLM will strengthen education, advocacy, and membership engagement to embed Lifestyle Medicine within healthcare systems and create lasting impact across Australia and New Zealand.
2022 Australian Federal Election Priorities statement
This statement outlines solutions to three current challenges in primary care in Australia. These solutions take into consideration preventing and better managing chronic disease, adopting innovation in the primary care model, and supporting the health workforce to enable delivery of the new models.
ASLM Submission - Parliamentary Inquiry into Diabetes
ASLM’s submission to the inquiry was accepted this month and centred on a variety of aspects relating to the opportunities presented by Lifestyle Medicine and inclusive models of care, such as Shared Medical Appointments in the prevention, treatment and where both possible and appropriate, the remission of type 2 diabetes.
