What’s New in IMgateway for ASLM Members

IMgateway has introduced several important updates designed to further support safe, evidence-informed clinical decision-making. These include the new Activated Probiotics Interaction Checker, updated research monographs, and a range of enhancements to the Interactions Database.

Members can also learn more about the upcoming Chinese Herb–Drug Interactions Database, an exclusive resource being developed by the NICM Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University.

For those who haven’t yet explored it, the Product Interactions Checker offers another practical tool to help assess interaction risks across multiple active ingredients.

What’s New

Activated Probiotics Interactions Checker Now Live

You can now access interactions data on Activated Probiotics, a condition-specific range backed by double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trials. Each Activated Probiotics product is formulated with strains which have been shown to significantly benefit health concerns beyond general gut health including:

  • poor sleep
  • cholesterol regulation
  • iron malabsorption

  • 312 interaction monographs reviewed or developed
  • 163 new entries added
  • 597 total reports, validated by the University of Sydney, School of Pharmacy

These updates span herbs, supplements, and food-drug interactions, giving you richer, more reliable insights at the point of care.

Chinese Herb-Drug Interactions Database

In partnership with the National Institute of Complementary Medicine at Western Sydney University, we’re proud to announce the upcoming release of a Chinese Herb Interactions Database.

This database will include:

  • herb–drug interaction monographs for 210 widely used Chinese herbs
  • Evidence summaries tailored for real-world practice
  • Guidance for integrating traditional Chinese medicine principles in modern clinical contexts

Product Interactions Checker

The Product Interactions Checker allows you to scan all active ingredients in selected products and generates a traffic-light style report, helping you quickly identify:

🟥 High-risk combinations to avoid
🟨 Cautionary use or dose adjustments
🟩 Interactions that may offer therapeutic benefit

Each monograph includes a clinical summary, patient advice, evidence levels, and links to the original scientific literature, giving you quick access to reliable, research-driven insights when you need them most.
