Regional Lifestyle Medicine Chapters Are Launching

One of the most exciting priorities for ASLM this year is the creation of regional Lifestyle Medicine chapters across Australia and New Zealand.

Lifestyle Medicine is built on connection. While conferences and online learning are important, many of the most valuable conversations happen locally, between colleagues who understand the realities of practising in the same communities.

Our new regional chapters are designed to support exactly that.

These chapters will create simple, informal spaces for practitioners interested in Lifestyle Medicine to connect, share ideas and support one another in practice. They will also help introduce more health professionals to Lifestyle Medicine and strengthen the visibility of the field in local communities.

Each chapter will be supported by ASLM Regional Champions and hosted through a WhatsApp community, making it easy to stay connected, share resources and hear about local events. Over time, many regions will also organise occasional in-person meetups to bring members together.

Importantly, these communities are multidisciplinary and open. If you are a health professional interested in Lifestyle Medicine, you are welcome to join the conversation, whether you are already an ASLM member or still exploring the field.

Why join your regional chapter?

Regional chapters offer a simple way to:

  • Connect with other Lifestyle Medicine practitioners in your area
  • Share ideas, resources and experiences from day-to-day practice
  • Build supportive professional relationships
  • Help grow awareness of Lifestyle Medicine locally
  • Learn about local meetups and events

Lifestyle Medicine is strongest when it is shared, and these chapters are designed to help make that easier.

Can’t find a suitable group? If you would be interested in helping lead another regional chapter, please reach out to the ASLM team at info@lifestylemedicine.org.au.

These groups are intended to be welcoming, practical spaces for connection and shared learning. We hope you will consider joining your local chapter and helping shape the future of Lifestyle Medicine in your region.
