Join the ASLM Board – Director Vacancies Now Open

The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) is inviting expressions of interest for three (3) Board Director positions commencing December 2025.
These vacancies arise following the planned retirement of two long-serving directors, and an existing vacancy, and present an important opportunity to shape the future direction of Lifestyle Medicine in Australia and New Zealand.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking individuals who bring:
- Governance experience (board or senior leadership level)
- Passion for Lifestyle Medicine and alignment with ASLM’s mission
- Skills to fill identified Board capability gaps, particularly in:
- Advocacy & government relations
- Membership growth & engagement
- Legal expertise
- Business Development
At least one of the three new directors must hold a medical degree or doctorate (e.g. GP, specialist, or PhD in lifestyle medicine or a related field) to maintain ASLM’s constitutional requirements.
While these positions are unpaid (as is standard for not-for-profit Boards), they are highly rewarding leadership roles that offer the chance to influence how Lifestyle Medicine is integrated into mainstream healthcare.

- A current CV (no more than 3 pages).

- The ASLM Board will nominate successful candidates, who will then be formally confirmed by members at the AGM.
- ASLM Directors serve a two-year term, renewable subject to nomination and Board approval.
