Kellie Kerin is a proud Arrernte woman from Central Australia with almost 30 years of nursing experience. Kellie has worked in many rural and remote locations within various health services in the Northern Territory and other parts of Australia, plus is well-travelled and has worked abroad.
Kellie is the Shared Medical Appointments Coordinator within the Workforce and Leadership Support Unit at the Aboriginal Medical Service Alliance Northern Territory (AMSANT), the peak organisation for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in the NT.
As a First Nations Registered Nurse, Kellie is passionate about sharing her knowledge, mentoring others and remains a passionate advocate for all things Cultural in Rural and Remote Health. Kellie brings her collective experience to the Shared Medical Appointments pilot program with a strong focus on ensuring localised and contextualised Cultural considerations remain at the forefront for this Model of Care.
Kellie is a CRANAplus Fellow, a professional member of CATSINaM, and recently completed her 3-year term as the NT First Peoples’ representative on the CRANAplus Nursing and Midwifery National Roundtable. She also sits on the NT Advisory Board for the Heart Foundation.
