Music, movement, song, dance and laughter. Lifestyle Medicine 2016 – It’s a wrap!

If you weren’t there yourself, you may have already heard that Lifestyle Medicine 2016 was a smash hit and will now be the ‘go to’ event in 2017.
With 48 speakers, 8 countries represented, 40 hours of education packed into 3 days and 440 attendees raving about the quality of the event, especially the massively over-delivered program and the incredible mostly plant based food, we’ve set the bar high. What better way to announce ‘Lifestyle Medicine’ to the world!
Special thanks to our Master of Ceremonies, Dr Caroline West, who brought music, movement, song, dance and laughter to an otherwise potentially exhausting schedule. Have a quick look at an example of the shenanigans. Make sure you watch through to the end to see the audience participation!
Congratulations also to the first recipients of the honorary ASLM fellowship, awarded for extraordinary career achievement in a field of importance to Lifestyle Medicine (from left): Dr Hamish Meldrum (presenting the awards), Prof Kerin O’Dea, Prof Boyd Swinburn and A/Prof Felice Jacka. We are honoured by their acceptance of the award.

The final count of 440 attendees over the three days included speakers and sponsors, so about 320 actual delegates, out-performing most other events in this space.
